My dream

After dinner, I took a shower and went to bed. Before I fell to sleep I was watching a horror movie with my sister, she shares me the room. I was so afraid but my sister like this kind of movies. I usually dream a lot while sleeping. In the day of watching the movie, I dreamed that I am in a forest alone. First, I woke up finding myself in the middle of the forest. I walked to see if I could find somebody to return me to my house. After three miles I found a cabin and the door wasn’t locked, I ran inside it. But nobody was in it. I was thirsty I opened the refrigerator to find some water. Then, I saw a small gazelle waking around the cabin, I was so happy because I like this kind of animals. Suddenly, a lion appeared and I closed the door but the lion was watching the gazelle to eat it. The lion waited for the right time to jump on the gazelle to eat it. After he finished eating, he came near the cabin and tried to open the door to get to me, but he couldn’t and he left. I was scared and I decided to stay in this cabin for the night. I couldn’t sleep until morning and I put a big table behind the door so nobody can open it. I predicted that the lion will come back. At noon, the lion came back and tried to open the door , I ran to hide inside the closet. The lion somehow opened the door, and entered the cabin. I was watching him by the closet’s door hole. My heart was beating so fast and the lion came close to the closet where I was hiding and tried to get to me. I screamed, and then my sister woke me up.       

Sandstorm

Last year, there was a big sandstorm in my city (called AlAin) in UAE. At the beginning of that day, there were scary winds with dust. Parents didn’t give any permission to their children to go out until the storm goes away. Also, streets were empty and people stayed inside their houses. At the middle of the day, the situation had worsened and the sandstorm became huge and destructive for about two hours. Then, it disappeared. It destroyed almost thousand of palm trees, crushed many cars, and it carried trashes, and chairs. Also, it destroyed the view of parks and markets. Due to the good structure of the buildings in my city, they can bear the power of the sandstorm and protect people from it. No one died from this sandstorm, but it left damages behind it. 

Summary: Health Care and Epidemics

     Epidemics are disease can spread out through humans contact. Some people think that they should eat vitamins, but others think that they should eat onions and garlic to avoid sickness. Viruses and bacteria helps epidemics to spread, when ill people sneeze or cough bacteria goes into the air where it can enter mouth or nose of other people who are close to them. One of epidemics disease is influenza. Epidemics spread more in large population because the city or country will be crowded. Also, among poor people where there is no money to treat. Vaccination can help prevent some diseases. We can protect ourselves from epidemics through; washing our hands before eating, try to avoid shaking hands with ill people. To prevent epidemics people should be more cautious in their daily life.

Monkey in the rainforest

    I am a monkey who lives in the rainforest. This place receives between (175-200 cm) of rainfall a year. The climate is very hot and wet through the year , trees can grow all the time. There are many kinds of animals live in it, such as birds, tigers and snakes. I live on the trees  , and I climb the branches of trees to move . Usually, I eat fruits such as mango or banana, , and another types of tropical fruits. The amount of fur in my body keeps me warm. I live most of my life on trees, so that help me defend myself from enemies and predators. Sometimes, we form a group of monkeys for protection. If my hometown were destroyed (forest), I would find a place that similar to my home, and I would live with a group of monkey to adapt easily. I would eat any kind of fruits, and vegetables that are available in my new place. It will be hard for me to live without the rainforest since I was born and grew up in it. Because its different in every things such as climate, food , trees, and enemies.

Expedition with Vitus Bering

       In 1733, Vitus Bering planned to explore the east coast of Siberia, and to find whether Asia and North America were connected by land bridge. He took  group of people with him, and I was among these guys. At the beginning of the expedition we worked to build a ship because we were going to cross the ocean. After we crossed half of our way , there were some problems that made us weak, such as a storm that took away some of our food. Then, we were unlucky because the two ships lost contact, but I was in Bering’s ship. The day after storm, we saw  mountains across the sea and that proved North America and Asia were separated. During the expedition many men were sick from scurvy due to lack of vitamin C. Finally, we landed in small island where no trees but there were animals and birds to eat and some wood to build a ship to leave the island. 

Introdution

     I am from united Arab Emirate. I have three sisters and two brothers.I like to do many things in my free time such as reading, cooking and go shopping.I have been one week at ASU, I decide to come to ASU because my husband studying there and I want to improve my  English language. I will stay in ASU one year then I will return to the United Arab Emirate University and , I will complete where I stopped . My major is Nutritional Sciences , I still have three years to graduate. The most interesting characteristic that I have is that I am kindly and friendly, I have more than 20 friends and I respect them also I give them my help when they need it.
